Bench-Rest
Bench-rest shooting, under NSRA rules, is undertaken from the right hand firing point in our 20 yard “Air” range.
Small-bore rifles, Sporting rifles or air rifles may be used, but all shots are scored using a .22 gauge.
The 2010BM – ten diagram target is used, with one shot at each diagram.
The shooter sits at a bench with the fore-end of the rifle supported by a rest, the butt in the shoulder. A sling may be used as in prone shooting, instead of but not in addition to the rest.
The full rules are given in the NSRA Handbook, Section 2, paragraphs 8.16 to 8.16.7 (or see the NSRA website)
